Tax Code: 1257L

Standard code. You receive the full £12,570 personal allowance — the first £12,570 you earn this year is tax-free. This is correct for most UK employees with one job and no untaxed income.

💼 Your employer also pays NI: On top of your £156.16 deduction, your employer pays their own separate NI contribution (13.8% above the Secondary Threshold of £9,100/yr). This does not come out of your pay.

How to View Your Payslip (MyStuff Login)

McDonald's no longer issues paper payslips. You must view them electronically via the official employee portal, MyStuff.

  1. Go to the official McDonald's UK employee portal (MyStuff 2.0).
  2. Log in using your Crew Member Global ID and your secure password.
  3. Navigate to the My Pay section on the dashboard.
  4. Here you can view, download, or print your payslips. If you are locked out, you must speak to your Business Manager to reset your account.

Common McDonald's Payslip Items

Base Pay vs. Franchise Pay

Your hourly rate depends on whether your store is company-owned (McOpCo) or franchised. Franchises set their own pay rates, provided they meet the 2026 National Minimum Wage.

Night Premium (Midnight to 6 AM)

If you work overnight shifts (typically between midnight and 6:00 AM), you receive a premium on top of your hourly wage. This appears as a separate line on your payslip and is fully taxable.

Holiday Pay (Accrued)

Since most Crew Members work variable hours, your holiday pay is accrued as a percentage of the hours you work (usually around 12.07%). When you take time off, your holiday pay is calculated using your 52-week average earnings.

Uniform Deposit (Rare)

Some franchises deduct a small, refundable deposit for your uniform from your first paycheck. This is returned to you when you leave and hand the uniform back. Check your contract to see if this applies to your store.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I view my McDonald's payslip online?

McDonald's UK uses a system called MyStuff. You need to log in to MyStuff 2.0 with your crew member ID and password. Once logged in, navigate to the 'My Pay' section to view and download your electronic payslips.

When does McDonald's pay its staff?

McDonald's employees in the UK are typically paid every two weeks (fortnightly) on a Thursday. Your payslip usually becomes available on MyStuff a day or two before payday.

What is Premium Pay on my McDonald's payslip?

Premium Pay is typically paid for hours worked between midnight and 6:00 AM (often an extra £1 to £2 per hour depending on your franchise). It will appear as a separate line item on your payslip called 'Night Premium' or 'Premium Pay'.

Why is my McDonald's pay lower than expected?

The most common reason for a short paycheck at McDonald's is clock-in discrepancies. If you forget to clock in or out, the store manager has to manually adjust your hours. If they forgot, you won't be paid for that shift until the next pay cycle.

How is holiday pay calculated at McDonald's?

Because your hours vary, your holiday pay is calculated based on your average weekly earnings over the previous 52 weeks. It accrues as a percentage of the hours you actually work, ensuring fair pay even if you do irregular shifts.
