How Is Hourly Rate Converted to Annual Salary?
To convert an hourly rate to an annual salary, we multiply by the number of hours worked per year. For a standard full-time contract (37.5 hours per week × 52 weeks), that gives 1,950 hours per year.
For example: £13.50/hr × 1,950 = £26,325 gross annual salary. But your take-home is lower — HMRC deducts Income Tax and National Insurance before your pay hits your bank account.
