Morrisons Payslip Explained 2026/27

£13.11/hr from October 2026 — The Three-Phase Rise Decoded

Last updated: 17 September 2026 · 2026/27 UK tax year

From navigating the confusing three-part 2026 pay rise (£12.71 → £13.00 → £13.11) to logging into MyMorrisons to access your digital payslip. Here is everything you need to know.

Morrisons Pay Rates 2026 — The Three-Phase Rise Explained

In 2026, Morrisons agreed a highly unusual phased pay deal with the USDAW union. Instead of one single pay rise in April, the pay increase for store colleagues is split across three distinct dates. This has caused immense confusion when staff check their payslips.

PhaseDate EffectiveHourly Rate
Phase 130 March 2026£12.71
Phase 220 July 2026£13.00
Phase 326 October 2026£13.11

How to Log Into MyMorrisons to View Your Payslip

Morrisons does not use paper payslips. All payslips are hosted digitally on the MyMorrisons portal (powered by Kronos/UKG Workforce Management). Payslips are typically available to view on the day before payday.

  • Username: Your 7 or 8-digit employee number (found on your name badge).
  • Password: If it is your first time logging in, your temporary password is usually your Date of Birth. The system will force you to change this immediately.

Night Shift, Sunday and Bank Holiday Premiums

Your base pay isn't the only thing on your payslip. Morrisons operates several premiums:

  • Night Premium: If you work the night shift (typically hours between 11pm and 6am), you receive a premium of roughly 25% to 30% on top of your standard hourly rate.
  • Bank Holidays: Working a bank holiday usually attracts an enhanced rate (often time-and-a-half or double time, depending on your contract vintage).
  • Sunday Working: Most new contracts do not include Sunday premiums, but legacy staff who joined years ago may still have contractual Sunday enhancements.

Morrisons Pension — Auto-Enrolment Details

Morrisons auto-enrols eligible staff into a workplace pension provided by Legal & General. You contribute a minimum of 5% of your qualifying earnings, and Morrisons contributes 3%.

"Qualifying earnings" means the pension isn't taken from your first £6,240 of income. It is only calculated on what you earn above that threshold.

Does Morrisons Have a Share Scheme? (Post-2021 Answer)

No, not anymore.

Morrisons was taken over by private equity firm Clayton, Dubilier & Rice (CD&R) in 2021 and de-listed from the stock exchange. Because it is no longer a public company, the old Save As You Earn (SAYE) sharesave scheme was closed.
